IUSC, Centro de Formación Superior Presencial y a Distancia

IUSC Centro de Estudios Superiores is a higher-education training centre in Barcelona, founded in 1994; its original academic parent organisation dates from 1977. It is based at Calle Fontanella 19 in the city centre, next to Plaça Catalunya. IUSC started with environmental programmes and today concentrates on health, especially clinical trials. According to the centre, it has trained more than 10,000 students from over 35 countries.

Courses are taught in person, by live remote sessions (telepresencial) or online. In-person courses use small groups, and online students work on a virtual campus with personal contact with a tutor. The four-storey building houses in-person teaching, administration and the management of distance learning.
