Luiss Guido Carli (Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali) is a non-state university in Rome, Italy, focused on economics, business, law and political science. It has about 11,900 students from more than 100 countries, a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:7 and campuses on Viale Romania, Via Parenzo and Viale Pola. According to the university, it is the top large non-state university in the CENSIS ranking, its Master's in Management is 30th in the Financial Times 2026 ranking, and it is 23rd in the QS World University Rankings for Politics and International Studies.

Teaching is organised in three schools: the Undergraduate School (bachelor's degrees and the single-cycle master's degree in Law), the Graduate School (master's degrees) and the Postgraduate School, plus PhD, summer and foundation programmes. Its seven departments cover accounting and corporate finance; AI, data and decision sciences; business and management; business and economic law; law and institutions; economics and financial markets; and political science.

Luiss has 360 partner universities in 77 countries; each year more than 3,000 students take part in exchanges through Erasmus+, destinations outside Europe and the ENGAGE.EU alliance, and about 60 double, triple and joint degree programmes are offered. Scholarships and fee exemptions are awarded on economic and merit criteria, and the university helps students find accommodation.

The Undergraduate School offers bachelor's degrees and a single-cycle master's degree in Law. The university's seven departments are:

Scholarships and financial aid

Luiss awards scholarships and exemptions from the annual fee to students who meet specific economic and merit requirements; according to the university, more than 2,000 scholarships and exemptions are granted. Loans are also offered.
