Madrid Active School (MAS) is a small international school in central Madrid, at Calle María Zayas 8, offering infant, primary and lower secondary education (1st to 4th year of ESO). It is authorised by the Comunidad de Madrid as a US foreign school (centro extranjero estadounidense), and the school states that it is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Founded by families and education professionals, it started in 2010 as the Nidia project and later became Madrid Active School.

MAS follows active pedagogy: children learn by doing and choose activities in a prepared environment, accompanied by adults. Its approach is inspired by Rebeca and Mauricio Wild and by Maria Montessori, and it uses Nonviolent Communication and active listening for social and emotional support. Depending on age, there are between 6 and 15 children per adult. The common language among pupils is Spanish, and English is reinforced through games, songs and progressively more complex activities. From 3rd year of ESO, students can prepare as private candidates for Cambridge IGCSE exams.

The school day runs from 8:45 to 14:45, with an extension until 16:00. Admissions are open all year; the process includes a meeting, an observation day at the school and an interview with a teacher.
