The Politecnico di Torino (PoliTO) is a technical university in Turin, Italy, specialising in architecture, engineering, design and urban planning. It was founded as a School for Engineers in 1859, making it the first Italian engineering school, and became the Regio Politecnico di Torino in 1906. It has 38,700 students and more than 1,000 teaching staff. Its campuses include the Engineering Campus on Corso Duca degli Abruzzi, the Architecture, Design and Planning Campus at the Valentino Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and Mirafiori.

The university is organised in eleven departments and offers:

  • Bachelor's degree programmes in engineering, architecture, design and planning
  • Master's degree programmes, many taught in English or in both Italian and English
  • PhD programmes
  • Specializing masters and lifelong learning courses
  • A postgraduate school of architectural and landscape heritage

Many programmes include international mobility at partner universities for one or two semesters, and double degrees that award both the Politecnico degree and that of the host institution. The Alta Scuola Politecnica is an international honours programme for master's students. PoliTO also has a Teaching and Language Centre and a Career Hub, and holds Welcome Weeks for its international community.
