Politeknika Ikastegia Txorierri S.Coop.

Politeknika Txorierri is a training centre in Derio, in the Txorierri area of Bizkaia, and is part of Mondragon Corporation and Ikastolen Elkartea. It offers post-secondary education and vocational education and training (VET), and works closely with local companies, offering them training, innovation projects and job offers.

• Post-secondary education
• Two-year VET courses (EQF level 4), such as Machining and Microcomputer Systems and Networks
• Higher VET courses (EQF level 5)
• Specialisation Programme on Digital Transformation of Industry

Teaching follows the ETHAZI challenge-based methodology, in which students work individually and in teams on projects based on real problems from the world of work. Through Erasmus+ mobility projects, VET students can do three-month internships in European companies, and the job placement office puts graduates in touch with companies looking for skilled workers. Derio is linked to Bilbao by Euskotren trains and Bizkaibus buses.
