Queens British Grammar School (QBGS) is a small private British international school in the centre of Estepona, in the province of Málaga on the Costa del Sol. Teaching is entirely based on the English national curriculum, and all classes are taught in English by qualified teachers whose first language is English. The school is in its seventh academic year and has recently moved into a new building.
QBGS is an all-through school from the early years to age 16:
- Foundation and Primary
- Secondary, leading to IGCSE
- A levels (Cambridge International), which the school plans to add
The school is open to children of all nationalities. Pupils with limited English are placed in an intensive English class until they can join mainstream classes. Spanish is a compulsory subject, and other European languages are offered as options. Special educational needs are supported through an Assess, Plan, Do, Review approach coordinated by the school's SENCo, with small-group work and one-to-one support where appropriate. Families can arrange a visit through the school office, and the Headteacher shows them around.
