Rocky Hill Country Day School (also known as Rocky Hill School) is an independent college-preparatory school for students from nursery to grade 12 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, in the United States. Founded in 1934, it occupies an 84-acre waterfront campus along the Potowomut River estuary and Narragansett Bay. According to the school, it has 275 students, an average class size of 14 and a student-to-faculty ratio of 5:1.
The school is divided into four divisions:
- Preschool
- Lower School
- Middle School
- Upper School (grades 9-12)
Teaching is inquiry- and project-based and makes use of the outdoor setting. The Upper School follows a daily schedule of intensive courses, so students focus on a few classes at a time. Students in grades 7-12 take part in multi-day trips, and the school offers performing arts from preschool to grade 12, service learning, an academic enrichment programme (ACE) and college counselling. A separate tuition rate applies to international students. Free state busing serves seven nearby towns, and the school runs fee-based bus routes to other parts of Rhode Island.
