Rostov State Medical University

Rostov State Medical University (Ростовский государственный медицинский университет, RostGMU) is a state medical university of the Russian Ministry of Health in Rostov-on-Don, in southern Russia. Its admissions office is at Nakhichevansky Lane 29.

The university teaches at several levels, each with its own admissions line:

  • Specialist degrees, bachelor's and master's programmes
  • Secondary vocational programmes at the RostGMU College
  • Residency programmes (ordinatura) for doctors
  • Postgraduate research programmes (aspirantura)
  • Continuing education and professional retraining for doctors

RostGMU also offers distance learning and runs its own outpatient clinics, a library and a museum, and it founded the South Russian Journal of Therapeutic Practice. The university describes international cooperation as an integral part of its work, and it has foreign students who represent it at competitions and cultural events. A state-supported education loan is listed among the options for students.
