Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is a public university in Laredo, Texas, on the border with Mexico, and a member of the Texas A&M University System. It began in 1970 as Texas A&I University at Laredo, took its current name in 1993 and has a 300-acre campus in northeast Laredo. TAMIU serves more than 8,400 students in a multilingual and multicultural community.

The university offers more than 100 degree programmes: bachelor's and master's degrees and PhDs in International Business and in Criminal Justice. Teaching is organised in the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business (AACSB-accredited), the College of Arts and Sciences (including ABET-accredited engineering), the College of Education and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Among the MBA tracks is one taught in Spanish, Negocios Internacionales en Español.

International applicants apply through ApplyTexas, and the Office of International Experiences issues the I-20 and advises on visas. TAMIU also takes exchange students nominated by partner institutions, and its own students can earn credit through approved study abroad programmes.
