The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio, UTSA) is a public research university in San Antonio, Texas (United States); it describes itself as the third-largest public research university in the state. UTSA and UT Health Science Center have come together as UT San Antonio, which has more than 44,000 students and over 300 academic programmes across several campuses in the city.

The Main Campus houses the Carlos Alvarez College of Business, Education and Human Development, the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design, Liberal and Fine Arts, Sciences and the Graduate School. The College of AI, Cyber and Computing is downtown, and the Health Science Center includes schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry, health professions and public health. UT San Antonio also runs an international study centre in Urbino, Italy.

International undergraduates apply through ApplyTexas; graduate admission decisions are made by each programme. F-1 and J-1 students must document sufficient funds. UT San Antonio Global ([email protected]) supports international students, and on-campus housing includes residence halls and apartment-style communities.

Graduate programmes

The Graduate School offers master's and doctoral programmes; admission decisions are made by each academic programme. The Health Science Center includes the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Dentistry, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the School of Health Professions and the Kate Marmion School of Public Health.

Admission

International undergraduates apply online through ApplyTexas; the One Stop Enrollment Center handles admissions, financial aid and registration questions. Graduate applicants apply through International Graduate Admissions, and the academic programme makes the final decision. To receive an I-20 (F-1) or DS-2019 (J-1), students submit a Confirmation of Financial Resources form with proof of funds, such as bank statements no more than six months old, in English or with an official translation.

Housing

Housing & Residence Life runs residence hall communities on the Main Campus (Alvarez Hall, Blanco Hall, Chaparral Village, Chisholm Hall, Guadalupe Hall and Laurel Village) and The Continental, with furnished apartment-style units near the Downtown Campus. University Oaks is an independently managed apartment community on the Main Campus. All utilities, internet and laundry are included and leases follow the academic semester; themed residential communities are available. Housing for 2026-27 has moved to a waitlist.
