The Università degli Studi del Sannio (UNISANNIO, University of Sannio) is a university in Benevento, in Campania, southern Italy, with its campus spread across the historic centre of the city. It has three departments: Law, Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM); Engineering (DING); and Science and Technology (DST).
Its bachelor's and single-cycle degrees cover fields including:
- Engineering (civil, electronic and biomedical, energy, computer)
- Economics, business, banking and finance
- Law and digital public administration
- Statistics for insurance and finance
- Biology, biotechnology and geology
- Sport and health sciences
From this year it also hosts a technology-oriented degree in Medicine and Surgery, a replica of the programme of the University of Naples Federico II. The university also offers master's degrees, postgraduate master programmes and doctorates. Teaching is in Italian, except for the master's degree in Electronics Engineering for Automation and Sensing, which is taught in English. UNISANNIO holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027 and receives Erasmus students, who attend lessons and exams in person; semesters start in September and February. The language centre (CLAUS) runs Italian courses for incoming students each semester, and the International Office organises welcome days. The university has its own student residences and a canteen.

Admission
Erasmus exchange students need a nomination from their home university, a Learning Agreement signed by the student and their Erasmus coordinator, and the application form; after nomination they receive instructions by email. Nominations are accepted from 15 May to 30 June (first semester and full year) and from 20 October to 30 November (second semester); student applications are due by 20 July and 20 December respectively. An acceptance letter for visa purposes can be issued once the documents are received. The mobility must take place in person.
Language requirements
All courses are taught in Italian, except the master's degree in Electronics Engineering for Automation and Sensing, which is in English. The University Language Centre (CLAUS) offers two Italian courses a year for incoming students, one each semester (contact: [email protected]).
