The Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Unimore) is an Italian university based in Modena and Reggio Emilia. Its origins date back to around 1175, and the university describes itself as one of the oldest in Europe after Bologna and Paris; it has been celebrating its 850th anniversary. Its teaching is grouped into three areas: One Health (medicine and life sciences), STEM (science and engineering) and Society (social sciences and humanities).

Fees
For the 2026/2027 academic year, first-year students pay fixed fee items of €159.67 at enrolment. The university contribution is a single annual amount, generally paid in four instalments, which depends on the programme, years of enrolment, income and academic merit; students may qualify for the No Tax Area exemption or a reduced contribution. The university provides an online fee simulator.
Scholarships and financial aid
Benefits are allocated on the basis of income and academic merit. Students can apply online for fee exemptions and reductions, including the No Tax Area exemption, and can take part in paid student collaborations; the university also runs webinars on fees, scholarships and accommodation.
