The Università Telematica San Raffaele Roma is an online (telematic) university based in Rome, Italy, established by decree of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research on 8 May 2006. It is a legally recognised non-state university, and its degrees have the same legal value as those of traditional Italian universities. According to the university, it ranks first for research quality among online universities and fifth among 98 Italian universities.
Teaching is delivered by e-learning: recorded lessons are available online 24 hours a day and are complemented by seminars and laboratory activities. The only in-person requirement is the final exam for each course, taken at the Rome or Milan site. The offer includes:
- Bachelor's degrees in sports science, biology, biomedical engineering, computer engineering and AI, food science and gastronomy, fashion and industrial design, cultural heritage, foreign languages and public administration
- Master's degrees in management, nutrition, adapted physical activity, public administration, foreign languages and applied AI engineering
- First- and second-level university master's, PhDs, single courses and teacher training
Some sports degrees are run in partnership with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). Enrolment is always open, and students with foreign qualifications follow a specific enrolment procedure. The university holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.

Admission
Students with foreign qualifications enrol as follows:
- Bachelor's degrees: foreign secondary school diploma, legally translated and accompanied by a declaration of value (dichiarazione di valore) from the Italian diplomatic mission in the country where it was issued; at least 12 years of schooling are required (otherwise, proof of one or two years of university exams)
- Master's degrees: foreign bachelor's degree certificate, legally translated and with a declaration of value, plus clearance (nulla osta) from the academic committee, which assesses the official syllabuses of all courses taken
Enrolment is open all year round.
