The Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata (Tor Vergata University of Rome) is a public university in Rome, Italy, with its main address on Via Cracovia. It is organised into six schools and 18 departments and, according to its own figures, offers 120 undergraduate degree courses, 142 professional master's programmes, 51 specialisation schools and 37 PhD programmes, with six libraries.

For international students, Tor Vergata offers a range of programmes taught in English, including bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Economics, Engineering Sciences and Global Governance, single-cycle degrees in Medicine and Surgery and in Pharmacy, and many master's degrees, from ICT and Internet Engineering to Astrophysics and Space Science. There is also a Foundation Course in English. An International Students Office and a Welcome Office support applicants; non-EU applicants living outside Italy must also pre-enrol on the Italian Universitaly portal for their visa. The university takes part in Erasmus+, runs Italian language courses at its CLICI centre and lists scholarships such as those of the Lazio regional agency LazioDiSCo.

Tor Vergata offers 120 undergraduate degree courses across its six schools, most taught in Italian. Programmes taught in English:

Graduate programmes

Master's degrees taught in English include:

  • Economics: Business Administration, Economics, Finance and Banking, European Economy and Business Law
  • Engineering: ICT and Internet Engineering, Management Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemistry for Nano-Engineering
  • Sciences: Astrophysics and Space Science, Physics of Complex Systems and Big Data, Biotechnology for Industry and Health
  • Humanities: Art History in Rome, Tourism Strategy, Cultural Heritage and Made in Italy
  • Medicine: Sport and Health Promotion, Clinical Psychosexology

The university also offers 142 professional master's programmes, 51 specialisation schools and 37 PhD programmes.

Admission

Applicants with a foreign qualification apply online through the university's Delphi system, uploading the required documents and paying an application fee; procedures, deadlines and requirements vary by programme. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and single-cycle degrees: a secondary school diploma after at least 12 years of schooling, plus any university aptitude test required in the issuing country (e.g. the Gao Kao in China)
  • Master's degrees: a bachelor's degree and transcript
  • Non-EU applicants living outside Italy: pre-enrolment on the Universitaly portal (passport, photo, admission letter if available, qualifications) before the visa appointment

The university does not use agencies or recruiters abroad.
