The International Relations Bureau (Gabinet de Relacions Internacionals, GRI) is the office of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona that handles the university's international relations. The UPC is a public university of engineering, architecture, sciences and technology, offering bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctorates and lifelong learning.
The bureau is organised into units that include an International Welcome Unit, a Student and Staff Mobility Unit and an International Promotion and Partnerships Unit, and it also provides technical support for the Unite! university alliance. In May 2026 the UPC opened the International Welcome Center, created to break down administrative barriers and bring the GRI team closer to the international community. The UPC holds the Erasmus Charter.
The bureau's website publishes news and calls for international mobility, such as China Link scholarships for scientific exchange stays of 1 to 12 months, open to bachelor's, master's and PhD students and to academic staff. The UPC website also offers information on TIE renewal, a welcome guide for international students and accommodation.
