Université Mouloud Mammeri de Tizi Ouzou

The Université Mouloud Mammeri de Tizi-Ouzou (UMMTO) is a university in Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, organised into faculties and departments. It provides first- and second-cycle university education and continuing education, and offers doctoral (third-cycle) training through doctoral schools, with access by competitive examination. New students holding the Algerian baccalaureate enrol through the initial registration and orientation procedure, and the university's online registration portal also handles re-registration and transfers. A separate service deals with recognition of qualifications (equivalences).

International cooperation is managed by a vice-rectorate for external relations. Through Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, UMMTO students and staff can apply for exchanges with partner institutions such as Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in Turkey and a higher education institution in Šiauliai, Lithuania. The university also has e-learning platforms, an institutional repository, a business incubator and a Huawei ICT Academy. Student life includes university sport and cultural activities; in 2026 the university was ranked second nationally for student life activities, according to its own website.
