UBS offers nearly 50 master's programmes on its Lorient and Vannes campuses, including two Erasmus Mundus joint masters taught in at least two countries:
- Master Cyberus: cybersecurity of the Internet of Things, or software cybersecurity
- Master Copernicus in Digital Earth: geospatial data science, combining artificial intelligence and Earth observation
Applications for national master's degrees are made on the Mon Master platform (Erasmus Mundus masters apply on their own websites); admission may depend on the application file, an interview or a competitive exam. Doctoral training is organised through 8 doctoral schools.
There are no entrance exams for Licence (bachelor's), master's or doctoral programmes: admission is based on academic records and application documents. The ENSIBS engineering school has an entrance exam. Procedures depend on residence, citizenship and entry level:
- Non-EU applicants in the 44 countries using the Études en France platform apply through Campus France
- Other non-EU applicants abroad entering the first year of a Licence use the White DAP form
- Applicants for the second year of a Licence up to the second year of a master's or ENSIBS use the UBS application form
- Students already enrolled in a French institution apply through e-Candidature
Courses are taught in French. Level C1 (CEFR) is required for literature, languages, humanities and social sciences, and law, economics and management; B2 is sufficient for other courses. Students who do not meet these levels can take intensive or semi-intensive French courses at UBS, which holds the FLE quality label for teaching French as a foreign language.
