Admission

Non-EU students applying individually (outside exchange programmes) start about a year in advance:

  • First year of a licence (bachelor's degree): a pre-admission application (DAP), the "dossier vert" for residents of France, the Campus France "Études en France" platform for residents of countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, or the "dossier blanc" at the French embassy elsewhere
  • Second or third year of a licence, professional licence or master's: "Études en France" for nationals of countries covered by that procedure; otherwise, the instructions on each programme's page

Language requirements

First-year applicants must usually attach proof of their French level with the DAP, normally the TCF tout public test; students from several French-speaking African countries are exempt. The university's DUEF diplomas (levels A1 to C1) can certify, at B2 and C1, French sufficient to enrol in a licence or master's.

Exchange students and doctoral students do not pay these fees, and partial exemptions are possible depending on the situation and programme.
