UNSW Sydney (University of New South Wales) is a university in Sydney, Australia, founded in 1949. Its main campus is in Kensington; it also has the School of Art & Design campus in Paddington and UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy, as well as sites in rural and regional New South Wales.
UNSW offers undergraduate degrees, double degrees, postgraduate programmes and doctoral research across seven faculties. Study areas include:
- Architecture, planning and construction management
- Business and commerce
- Data and technology
- Engineering
- Law and criminal justice
- Medicine and health science
- Science and environment, humanities and social sciences
- Education, media, design and fine arts
It also runs short courses, microcredentials, MBA and executive education programmes, and online degrees through UNSW Online. The university notes that technology pioneered at UNSW is used in 90% of the world's solar panels.
For international students, tuition fees depend on the courses (subjects) chosen rather than the degree, and applications are made online through the UNSW Applicant Portal. Students on a student visa must hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). UNSW offers scholarships for international students and has university-owned colleges and apartments on and off campus.

Housing
UNSW owns and operates on-campus accommodation:
- Residential colleges, with an on-site team offering academic guidance and pastoral care; college contracts run for 44 weeks
- UNSW apartments on or off campus, for undergraduates, postgraduates, couples and families
