Australian Pacific College (APC) is a vocational college with campuses in Sydney (in the CBD and near Manly Beach), Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Adelaide. It was accredited as an English college in 1994 and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90396) and CRICOS-registered provider (01331F). Its English language courses are run by its sister school, English Unlimited, a member of English Australia.

APC offers 33 nationally recognised vocational courses, from certificates to graduate diplomas, and states that it has 15 pathways to university. Study modes include on campus, online and blended.

The college helps students find homestays with Australian families and shared or self-contained student apartments through partner providers. International applicants without a recent English test result take a pre-arrival English test.

A full-time diploma usually takes four terms (about one year) and a Certificate III in Hospitality three terms (about nine months); part-time study is only for domestic students.

Language Requirements

Entry requirements are set for each course. International applicants who do not have a recent English test result take a pre-arrival test to check their English level. Native or near-native English speakers who cannot provide academic evidence for their application take an academic aptitude test, and junior programme students aged 9 to 15 take a separate placement test.

  • Homestay through the Australian Homestay Network in all five cities, minimum 4 weeks, within 50 minutes of campus by bus or train; breakfast and dinner on weekdays and all meals at weekends
  • Iglu student apartments and share houses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for long stays of 6 to 12 months, bills included
