The University of Exeter is a university in the South West of England and a member of the Russell Group of UK universities. Its history goes back to 1855, and it received its University Charter in 1955. It has two campuses in Exeter, Devon (Streatham and St Luke's) and one in Penryn, Cornwall, about 2.5 hours from London by train. Around 30,000 students study there, including about 7,000 international students from over 150 countries. According to the university, its teaching was rated Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023, and it is ranked 136th in the QS World University Rankings 2027.

English requirements vary by programme: each programme page lists a required Profile, which sets the accepted tests and scores. Undergraduate applicants must also meet the standard GCSE English Language requirement. Nationals of majority English-speaking countries, and applicants with a full degree taught in English completed within the last seven years, may meet the requirement without a test. Student visa applicants need at least CEFR level B2. Pre-sessional English courses at the University of Exeter International Study Centre lead to entry without a further IELTS test if the progression requirements are met.
Undergraduate tuition fees per year for international students starting in autumn 2027:

Fees are expected to rise each year in line with inflation. A full year abroad costs about 15% and a placement year 20% of the maximum fee.
