The University of St. Thomas is a private Catholic university in Minnesota, United States, founded in 1885. It has campuses in Saint Paul and downtown Minneapolis, in the Twin Cities, and a third campus in Rome. More than 9,000 students study in its eight colleges and schools: arts and sciences, the Opus College of Business, engineering, the Morrison Family College of Health, law, education, divinity and the two-year Dougherty Family College.

St. Thomas offers more than 150 undergraduate majors and minors and over 55 graduate programmes in fields such as business, engineering, health, education, law and the arts. All classes are taught by faculty rather than teaching assistants, and students have access to the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship.

About 500 international students from more than 75 countries attend. The Office of International Students and Scholars helps with F-1 visa documents, immigration advising and cultural adjustment, and international undergraduates are considered for merit scholarships covering 10% to 70% of tuition. Residence halls include traditional, suite and apartment-style buildings, with separate halls for first-year, transfer and upper-division students.
