Minnesota State University Moorhead (Minnesota State Moorhead, MSUM) is a mid-sized, four-year public university in Moorhead, Minnesota, United States, and a member of the Minnesota State system. Moorhead forms a metropolitan area with Fargo, North Dakota, with three colleges within a two-mile radius. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission for bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral degrees, and its Paseka School of Business holds AACSB accreditation.
MSUM offers 136 majors, emphases and options, with an average class size of 19.6. Fields include business, accounting and finance, computer science and cybersecurity, construction management, education, film production, broadcast journalism, commercial music, exercise science and the sciences.
The university has 271 international students from 59 countries. International freshmen need a minimum GPA of 2.5 and English proof such as IELTS 5.5. First-year students must live on campus, and MSUM offers more than 300 scholarships.

International freshmen must have completed secondary education (usually 12 years) that qualifies them for university in their home country. Steps:
- Complete the online application and pay the $20 non-refundable fee
- Submit academic documents in the original language and English, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale; some documents need an external evaluation (ECE, IEE, TEC or WES)
- Provide proof of English proficiency
- Submit a financial statement with bank documents, no older than six months, showing at least $29,023
Late documents move the application to the next start term (late August or early January).
Students from non-English-speaking countries must send official scores directly from the testing organisation:

Students from a list of exempt countries do not need a test.

First-year students must live on campus, and housing is allocated first come, first served. Rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, dresser and wifi, and every residence hall has lounges, kitchenettes and free laundry. Upper-class and transfer students can choose any building, including Nelson Hall singles, Holmquist Suites and the John Neumaier Apartments, and there are themed learning communities.
