Gustavus Adolphus College is a college of Swedish and Lutheran heritage in Saint Peter, Minnesota, in the Minnesota River valley with easy access to Minneapolis-St. Paul. It has about 1,800 undergraduate students, and students from dozens of countries study on campus.

Students choose from 73 majors and minors, and double majors and research are common. Examples include:

  • Accounting and accounting with finance
  • Nursing
  • Scandinavian Studies
  • Art history, studio art and ancient Greek studies
  • Sciences and STEM research
  • A Master in Athletic Training as an accelerated dual degree

The SigX programme links classroom learning with real-world experience, and the college hosts the annual Nobel Conference. International students apply through the Common App; the application is free and decisions with scholarship details often come within two weeks. International applicants are automatically considered for the $43,000 Count Folke Bernadotte Scholarship, and an Assistant Director of International Student and Scholar Services supports students after arrival. Students living on campus, including in the Carlson International Center, must have a meal plan.
