The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is an Australian university (CRICOS provider number 00099F) whose City Campus is at 15 Broadway, Ultimo, near Central Station in central Sydney. UTS states that it is ranked #87 in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and #7 in Australia in the Times Higher Education University Rankings 2026. According to the university, its community includes students from over 180 nationalities.

Teaching is organised in the UTS Business School, the Faculty of Design and Society, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, the Faculty of Health, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Science and the Transdisciplinary School. Course areas range from analytics and data science, architecture and business to communication, education, engineering, health, IT, international studies, law and science. International students can take full undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees, research degrees (Master's by Research or PhD), or spend one or two semesters at UTS through study abroad and exchange.

Applications are made online through the UTS Application Portal or on a paper form, directly or with the help of an official agent. Scholarships for international students cover between 15% and 100% of tuition, and most are awarded automatically. UTS Housing runs the Yura Mudang residence with studios and rooms in shared apartments.

Admission Requirements

International applicants must meet the academic and English language requirements of their course; some courses have extra entry requirements. Applications go through the UTS Application Portal or a paper form, directly or through an official agent, and carry a non-refundable A$100 application fee. Complete applications are normally processed in one to two weeks.

Financial Aid

Most UTS scholarships for international students are awarded automatically to eligible applicants. Examples:

Housing

UTS Housing runs the Yura Mudang residence on campus, with fully furnished, self-catered studios and bedrooms in shared apartments. Rooms for Spring 2026 are fully allocated; applications for the Autumn 2027 intake open on 30 September (check-in January 2027). Off-campus options include Scape residences with offers for UTS students.
