SCOTS English College is an English language school in Sydney (CRICOS provider code 03497A). New students can start every Monday. General English is studied full time, 20 hours per week, with 10 to 12 weeks per level. Students must be 18 or older. After completing the EAP course, students can gain pathways into the Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC) and other Australian colleges. For housing, the college runs a homestay program with Australian hosts, and it organises monthly events and regular excursions so students can practise English outside the classroom.

Admission
Applicants must be 18 or older. They can apply directly or through an agent:
- Complete and sign the application form and send it to [email protected] with a copy of the passport, student visa (if already held) and any English certificates
- Receive a letter of offer, sign the acceptance and pay the fees shown on it
- Student visa applicants then receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), needed for the visa application
Language requirements
New students take a placement test or show previous evidence of English proficiency, such as a certificate from another ELICOS provider or an IELTS, TOEIC or TOEFL certificate. General English starts at Beginner level with no entry requirement. The college notes that the level it requires may differ from the level needed for a student visa.
Housing
The SCOTS Homestay Program places students with screened Australian host families. Each student has a private, furnished bedroom with a bed, desk and storage, access to study areas and shared kitchen and bathroom. Some homestays offer a meal plan with breakfast and dinner on weekdays and additional meals at weekends.
