Wake Forest University is a private university in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in the south-eastern United States. It was founded in 1834 in the town of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and relocated to Winston-Salem in 1956. The main campus covers 340 acres, and the university also has locations in Charlotte and Washington, D.C. It enrols 9,633 students: 5,595 undergraduates and 4,038 graduate students.
Undergraduate study follows a liberal arts curriculum with more than 50 majors and 60 minors, and the student-to-faculty ratio is 11:1. Besides the Undergraduate College, the university comprises these schools:
- Graduate School of Arts & Sciences
- School of Business
- School of Divinity
- Wake Forest Law
- School of Medicine
- School of Professional Studies
Many undergraduates study abroad, often in the university's academic-residential houses in London, Vienna and Venice. International students are supported by the Center for Immigration Services & Support (ISS), and the Center for Global Programs & Studies coordinates global programmes. International first-year applicants apply through the Common Application and submit TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo results.

- One letter of recommendation from a counsellor or teacher
- TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo results (international students only)
SAT/ACT scores are optional. Early Decision rounds are binding; Regular Decision is not.
