Anderson University

Anderson University (AU) is a private Christian university in Anderson, Indiana, in the United States. It is rooted in the Church of God (Anderson) movement and is an Endorsed Agency of the Church of God. Its stated mission is to "educate for a life of faith and service in the church and society". The university gives priority to a liberal arts curriculum, and chapel and required biblical literacy courses are part of student life. It welcomes students of all backgrounds.

AU offers undergraduate majors as well as adult and graduate programmes, such as summer graduate studies in music education. Areas highlighted by the university include:

  • Nursing (School of Nursing & Kinesiology)

  • Dance and musical theatre
  • Psychology, criminal justice and Christian ministry

Applications are accepted at any time through an online portal, and the admissions office starts reviewing them on 1 September. International students have their own admissions contact. Housing includes single-sex halls such as Martin and Dunn, the suite-style Myers Hall for third- and fourth-year students, and co-ed apartments. Full-time undergraduate tuition is US$37,600 for the 2026-27 academic year, and the university has announced a tuition freeze for traditional and transfer undergraduates for 2027-28.

Fees

Undergraduate rates for the 2026-27 academic year (per year, two semesters):

  • Full-time tuition (12-18 credit hours per semester): US$37,600
  • Standard residence hall room: US$7,340
  • Raven Unlimited meal plan: US$6,360
  • Fees: US$1,320
  • Total: US$52,620

Part-time students (1-11 credit hours) pay US$1,565 per credit hour. The university has announced a tuition freeze for traditional and transfer undergraduates for the 2027-28 academic year.

Housing

AU's residence halls are run by professional resident directors and student resident assistants. Options include:

  • Martin Hall (women) and Dunn Hall (men)
  • Myers Hall, co-ed suites for third- and fourth-year students
  • Smith Hall and Morrison Hall
  • The Apartments (co-ed)
