Bishop Hendricken High School

Bishop Hendricken High School is an all-boys Catholic high school at 2615 Warwick Avenue in Warwick, Rhode Island, in the United States. It opened in September 1959 and is named after Thomas F. Hendricken, the first Bishop of Providence. In 1993 the US Department of Education named it a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
The college-preparatory curriculum combines a liberal arts core with electives. From autumn 2026, students can also follow one of four Pathway Programs, which offer advanced courses, industry-recognised certifications, internships and the chance to earn college credit:

- Technology
- Performing Arts
- Visual and Media Arts
The 8th Grade SELECT programme lets high-achieving students start a year early, and the Options Program serves students with mild to moderate disabilities. Facilities include a 350-seat theatre. Applicants for grades 8 to 10 take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The school also admits transfer and international students; international applicants additionally submit a Duolingo English score and a certificate of finances.

Admission
Applicants for 8th Grade SELECT and 9th grade submit:
- Online admission application (US$50 fee, which also covers the entrance exam)
- Official transcripts for the past two academic years
- One or two teacher recommendations
- High School Placement Test (HSPT), required for grades 8, 9 and 10
Transfer students send transcripts and, for 10th grade, take the entrance exam. Options Program applicants also provide an updated neuropsychological assessment and educational evaluation, a current IEP and a shadow day. International students also submit a Duolingo English proficiency score and a certificate of finances.

Admission dates for 8th Grade SELECT and 9th grade (entry in the 2027-28 school year):
- Entrance exam: 5 December 2026 (make-up exam 12 December 2026)
- Priority application filing: 1 January 2027
- Decision notification: 30 January 2027
- Priority financial aid filing: 15 February 2027
- Enrolment deadline: 1 March 2027
Transfer, Options Program and international applications are handled on a rolling basis.
