Description

Georgia Tech, as most commonly called, is a public research university, based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. It was established in 1885, and to this date has developed satellite campuses in Savannah, Georgia; Metz, France; Athlone, Ireland; Shanghai, China; as well as Singapore. The institution is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), while all programs offered are technologically-based ones. The undergraduate and graduate degrees provided at Georgia Tech are made available through the Colleges of Architecture, Computing, Engineering, Management, Sciences, and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. A notable fact about the school is that it currently is the only technological university ranked in U.S. News & World Report's listing of America's top ten public universities.
