The Universidad de los Andes (Uniandes) is a private, non-profit university in Bogotá, Colombia. It was founded on 16 November 1948 by a group of young people led by Mario Laserna Pinzón, and it describes itself as the first private higher education institution in Colombia that is secular and independent of political parties. It was recognised as a university by Decree 1297 of 30 May 1964, is supervised by the Colombian Ministry of Education and holds institutional accreditation for 10 years. The university states that it is ranked 179th in the QS world university ranking.

The main campus is at Carrera 1 Nº 18A-12 in Bogotá, and there is a Caribbean campus (Sede Caribe) in Cartagena. The academic calendar includes courses of 8, 16 and 21 weeks, and postgraduate programmes run in cycles of 7 and 8 weeks. Applications for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are made online, free of charge, and there is specific information for international applicants. Financial support ranges from scholarships to loans. Since 2022 the university has been led by Raquel Bernal Salazar, its first woman rector.
