The University of Lethbridge (ULethbridge) is one of four comprehensive academic and research universities in Alberta, Canada. It opened in 1967 in west Lethbridge, in southern Alberta, on traditional Blackfoot Confederacy territory, and its Blackfoot name is Iniskim. According to its 2025/2026 progress report, it has 8,051 undergraduate and graduate students from 88 countries, an average class size of 31 and two campuses, in Lethbridge and in downtown Calgary. The Lethbridge campus covers more than 500 acres and includes Science Commons, opened in 2019.

The university offers more than 150 undergraduate programs, and under its liberal education requirements first-year courses count towards any bachelor's degree. Programs include:

  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts & Science
  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Fine Arts
  • Bachelor of Health Sciences
  • A new Bachelor of Engineering
  • Combined degrees, graduate programs and English for Academic Purposes

The Calgary campus offers flexible programs with evening, weekend, online and blended classes. Through Open Studies, students can take courses without enrolling in a degree program. Students can apply to live in residence on the Lethbridge campus, with a dining plan. Lethbridge is about two hours from Calgary International Airport.

Housing

The University of Lethbridge has student residences on its Lethbridge campus, with a dining plan and residence wifi. Applications for Fall 2027 housing are open. Housing Services also provides information on housing options for students at the Calgary campus.
