Valley View University (VVU) is a private Christian university in Ghana, founded in 1979 by the West African Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists. The National Accreditation Board of Ghana authorised it to award its own degrees in 1997, and in 2006 it received a Presidential Charter; the university states that it was the first chartered private university in Ghana. Its main campus is at Mile 19 on the Adenta-Dodowa Road in Oyibi, near Accra, with further campuses in Techiman and Kumasi.
VVU offers more than 50 undergraduate programme options as well as graduate programmes through its School of Graduate Studies. Examples include:
- Nursing and midwifery
- Business administration and an MBA in Strategic Management
- Information technology
- Teacher education, including a four-year B.Ed and a two-year diploma in music
- Theological studies
- Development studies
Students of any religious background are admitted provided they accept the Christian principles and lifestyle on which the university is based. Applications are made online after buying an application voucher; the intake for the 2026-27 academic year is open until further notice. On the Oyibi campus there are separate halls of residence for men and women, supervised by resident staff.

Admission
Applicants buy an application voucher online or at designated banks, receive a serial number and PIN, and complete the application online. They need:
- A valid email address and phone number
- A passport-sized digital photo
- Certified academic transcripts and certificates
- A scan of their national ID or passport
Students of any religious background are admitted if they accept the Christian principles and lifestyle of the university.
Housing
The Oyibi campus has separate halls of residence for men and women, supervised by resident staff and within walking distance of lecture halls, the library and the cafeteria:
- Women: Ellen G. White Hall and NAGSDA Hall
- Men: J.J. Nortey Hall and M.A Bediako Hall
Rooms are booked through the student portal during registration; places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who want to live off campus must apply to the Dean for Student Life and Services at the start of each semester.
