Atlantic Air Academy

Vocational school in Culleredo, Spain

Atlantic Air Academy is a pilot training school at A Coruña airport (Alvedro), in Culleredo, in the province of A Coruña. It trains students to become commercial airline pilots or private pilots, and also offers aeroplane flight instructor ratings. Training combines theory with practical flying.

  • Commercial airline pilot training
  • Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
  • Flight instructor ratings: FI, IRI, CRI and FI of FI

The school works with the airline Atlantic Air Solutions: its instructors are active Atlantic Air Solutions pilots, and students can fly as observers on the airline's aircraft to see real operations. Training also uses flight simulators.

The Private Pilot Licence course leads to an EASA licence valid throughout Europe for non-commercial flights in single-engine aircraft. It usually takes 6 to 12 months and is taught in Spanish. No previous flying experience is needed, but applicants must be at least 17 years old and pass a Class 2 aeronautical medical examination. Visits to the training centre are by appointment.
