The university's Language Centre runs intensive German courses that prepare for the DSH exam, as well as courses during the Bauhaus Summer School.
Applications are made through the Bauhaus.CampusPortal or uni-assist. Programmes at the Faculty of Art and Design require an artistic aptitude test or an aptitude assessment procedure. The university also accepts part-time students, guest students and transfer students entering a higher semester. Matters outside studies, such as living, meals and financing, are handled by the Studierendenwerk Thüringen.
