Concordia University, Nebraska is a Christian university of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in Seward, a town of about 7,200 people in southeast Nebraska, in the Midwest of the United States. It opened in 1894 and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Students come from more than 40 states and 15 countries.
Undergraduates choose from more than 75 majors and academic programmes across departments such as:

All undergraduates take the Living Stones general education curriculum, a liberal arts programme that integrates theology. Graduate programmes (master's degrees and certificates in education, business, public health, counselling and athletics administration) are taught online in 8-week courses. Students from abroad who need an F-1 visa apply through the international admission office, which guides them through the I-20 and visa process; the application is free, and non-native speakers need TOEFL iBT 78, Duolingo 100 or IELTS 6.5.

The Marriage and Family Therapy and Family Life Education programmes require a short on-campus residency.
International undergraduate applicants who need an F-1 visa:
- Apply online (free of charge)
- Send high school transcripts; transcripts not in English or not from an American international school need a comprehensive or course-by-course evaluation report (e.g. from WES or InCred)
- Submit ACT or SAT scores if the evaluated GPA is below 3.0
- Provide English language proficiency scores (non-native speakers)
After acceptance, students confirm their visa status, prove financial support (financial agreement form, sponsor statement and bank letters), pay a US$300 enrolment fee and receive the I-20 to apply for the F-1 visa. International students must have medical insurance from arrival.
Non-native English speakers must prove English proficiency for undergraduate admission with one of these minimum scores:
- TOEFL iBT: 78
- Duolingo: 100
- IELTS: 6.5
Students who have studied for two years or longer at an English-speaking high school in the United States may use successful course completion as proof.
Undergraduate costs for the 2026-27 academic year:

The university offers more than 25 faith-based, academic and talent scholarships. ACT or SAT scores help determine the academic scholarships, which are available to all students. According to the university, all full-time undergraduates receive financial aid, averaging US$29,000 per student in 2024-25.
