Humanitas University (Hunimed) is a university dedicated to medicine and the life sciences, with its teaching campus in Pieve Emanuele, south of Milan, Italy. Teaching is integrated with the hospitals of the Humanitas Group, especially the Humanitas Clinical Institute (IRCCS), a teaching hospital next to the campus, and with a research centre of around 600 researchers. The university states that it has more than 3,000 students from over 30 countries.

  • Medicine and Surgery: six-year single-cycle degree taught entirely in English, with 200 places a year (150 for EU and 50 for non-EU students)
  • MEDTEC School: six-year degree in Medicine and Surgery and Biomedical Engineering in English, run with Politecnico di Milano
  • Five three-year degrees in Italian: Nursing, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, and Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy Techniques
  • Postgraduate study: medical specialisation schools, master's programmes and PhDs, several in English

Teaching uses active learning in small groups, case studies and simulation. Admission to Medicine is by an online test held in two rounds. The campus includes a Simulation Center and the Mario Luzzatto Student House, with 240 beds in single or double rooms with private bathrooms. Erasmus+ exchange students can join from partner universities, including two in Spain.

Students in their last two years of secondary school and graduates may sit it, in one or both rounds; only the higher score counts for the ranking. An optional online Preparation Week helps candidates prepare for the test for both Medicine and MEDTEC. Of the 200 places in Medicine, 150 are for EU and 50 for non-EU students.
