Lindsey Wilson University (LWU) is a university in Columbia, Kentucky, in the United States. Students can earn associate (A.A.), bachelor's (B.A., B.S. or B.S.N.), master's (M.B.A., M.Ed. or M.S.) and doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees, and some programmes are also offered online and at extended campuses. Undergraduate majors cover areas such as business administration, biology, nursing, education, criminal justice, psychology, communication and sport management; graduate study focuses on counselling, business and technology.
More than 100 international students from over 40 countries study at LWU, and the university has exchange programmes with partner schools in Japan, Northern Ireland and South Korea. Its International Student Programs office supports students from the pre-admission stage, and each new international student is assigned a host family from the university staff or the local community. LWU has no separate English language institute: students need at least an intermediate level of English (TOEFL iBT 45) and take credit-bearing ESL courses alongside regular classes if their score is below about iBT 71.
Students live in residence halls, apartments and houses on campus, each with a resident assistant. The university states that more than 99% of undergraduates receive some form of financial assistance.

LWU has no separate ESL institute and no beginner-level English courses. Applicants need at least intermediate English, for example a TOEFL score of 450 (paper) or 45 (iBT). Students with TOEFL 450-500 (iBT 45-61) normally take credit-bearing ESL courses in the fall and spring alongside regular classes; with TOEFL 530 (iBT 71) or above they may not need ESL classes. Free tutoring is available at the Academic Success Center.

Students live on campus in residence halls near the academic buildings, student union and dining centre. There are separate women's and men's residence halls (including freshman halls), apartments (Draper, College Hill, Trabue) and houses, each supported by a trained resident assistant. In addition, each new international student is assigned a host family from the university staff or the local community, who introduce them to American life.
