Park University is a four-year, private, nonprofit liberal arts university founded in 1875 and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Its 645-acre flagship campus is in Parkville, Missouri (United States), a historic town on the Missouri River a few minutes from Kansas City. It also has a residential campus in Gilbert, Arizona, six further locations across the country with hybrid and face-to-face classes, and more than 65 online degrees.

Teaching is organised in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Health Professions and the College of Management. There are more than 60 undergraduate and more than 20 graduate programmes, in areas such as business, communication, computer science, criminal justice, education, healthcare, social sciences and social work, including the MBA, MHA and MPA. Classes are small.

The Parkville campus has over 500 international students from more than 70 countries. International Student Services helps them with study, work and life in the US, and the university also welcomes exchange and visiting students. In Gilbert, students live in furnished university apartments with two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites.

Admission Requirements

International undergraduate applicants from outside the US:

  • Online application and US$75 non-refundable application fee
  • High school/college transcripts (official or unofficial) with certified English translations; a cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for full admission
  • English test score
  • Affidavit of Support and sponsor's bank statement in US dollars covering one year of study
  • Colour copy of the passport

A scholarship application on the portal is optional. International students must take at least 12 credit hours per semester; credit from foreign institutions needs a Foreign Credential Evaluation.

Language Requirements

Minimum scores for undergraduate admission (official scores sent electronically by the testing company):

  • TOEFL iBT 69, or 4.0 for tests taken in 2026 or later
  • IELTS 6.0
  • Duolingo 100
  • PTE Academic 53

Students from Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria are exempt from the English test.

Housing

The Parkville campus offers double-occupancy rooms with an all-access meal plan. In Gilbert, students live in university apartment complexes (such as Espiral and Desert Mirage) in furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites with kitchen and living room, in shared or single rooms; furniture, utilities and wifi are included. Residents commit for a full academic year, and the housing application is used to match roommates.
