Regent University is a private Christian university founded in 1977, with a 100-acre campus in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a large online offering. It serves nearly 14,000 students and is accredited by SACSCOC to award associate, bachelor's, master's, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.

Programmes are taught from a Christian perspective in more than 150 areas of study, including business, communication and the arts, counselling, cybersecurity, divinity, education, government and law, with 8-week and 15-week course sessions online or on campus.

Regent's alumni live in 141 countries, and students from 90 countries are enrolled this semester. The university is SEVP-certified to enrol F-1 students in many on-campus programmes; fully online programmes do not qualify for an F-1 visa. On campus, students live in Regent Commons or Regent Village apartments. Nearly 80% of students received financial aid in 2024-25, with US$25 million in institutional scholarships and aid.

They submit official transcripts (all secondary and college records for undergraduate programmes; a completed bachelor's degree for master's), with a course-by-course evaluation of foreign records converted to a US GPA and an official English translation where needed. ACT/SAT scores are not required for undergraduate admission but may help with scholarships; some graduate programmes require or recommend the GRE. Admitted on-campus students submit proof of finances to obtain an I-20.

Language Requirements

Minimum scores: TOEFL iBT 90, PTE Academic 61, Duolingo 115 or IELTS 7.0, valid for two years; the School of Law requires higher scores. A waiver may be requested by applicants with a degree from an institution in an English-speaking country or at least two years of English-medium higher education.

Fees

2026-27 tuition, College of Arts & Sciences, on campus: US$10,995 per semester for 12-18 credit hours (US$21,990 for fall and spring), plus a University Services Fee of US$900 per semester. Graduate tuition is charged per credit hour, for example US$845 on campus or US$695 online for the MBA.

Housing

Regent Commons houses single first-year and some transfer undergraduates (ages 17-24) in furnished apartments from studios to four-bedroom suites. Regent Village serves returning undergraduates and graduate students, with a free shuttle to campus. First-year students living more than 25 miles away who study full-time on campus must live on campus. Applications require a US$200 deposit.
