Sciences Po Toulouse is one of France's ten Instituts d’Études Politiques (IEP), founded in 1948. It is a public higher-education institution with more than 1,700 students and trainees a year, a member of the Conférence des grandes écoles and of the Réseau ScPo, and a component of the Université de Toulouse Capitole. Since January 2022 it has been housed in the historic former tobacco factory (Manufacture des tabacs) in Toulouse.

Its main programme, the Sciences Po Toulouse diploma, is a selective full-time course taught mainly in French and entered only by competitive exam. It has two cycles: two multidisciplinary years in law, economics, history and political science, a third year of mobility abroad, and two years of specialisation at master's level. The school also offers a master's in political science, double degrees and a journalism school.

Each year it welcomes more than 200 international students. Exchange students from partner universities (bilateral agreements or Erasmus+) study for one or two semesters without paying tuition. Free movers can take the one-year university diploma “Études Internationales et Comparatives” (60 ECTS), in an English or a French track. A double degree with the Universidad Complutense de Madrid is aimed at Spanish- and French-speaking students.
