The Università Iuav di Venezia is a university in Venice devoted to teaching and research in design and planning, with headquarters at Santa Croce 191, Tolentini. It was founded in 1926 as the Scuola superiore di architettura di Venezia and today describes itself as a small university with a strong experimental approach; it was the first Italian university to introduce design studios (laboratori progettuali). Besides architecture and urban planning, it teaches design, fashion, theatre and the arts. It had 4,873 students enrolled in degree courses in 2025/2026 and uses ten sites, including a design campus in Vicenza.

Iuav has 260 agreements with universities in 62 countries, used for Erasmus and other exchanges and double degrees. For housing, students can apply for the ESU regional residences or use the StudyInVenice platform and other partners that the university works with.
