The Università degli Studi di Padova (University of Padova, Unipd) is a university based in Padua (Padova), Italy. Besides its buildings across the city, it describes itself as a multi-site campus with several locations in the surrounding area. The university offers 236 degree courses in all subject areas: 114 bachelor's-level degree courses, 15 single-cycle master's degree courses, 107 master's degree courses and 4 inter-university courses. In 2025 it had 2,153 PhD students.

Applicants with a foreign qualification apply online; for the 2027-28 academic year the first application window opened on 15 September 2026 and closes on 15 November 2026 for most programmes. Courses start at the end of September or the beginning of October, and the Global Engagement Office supports international applicants. For housing, students can apply for ESU residences through a competition, use places reserved for international students in partner private residences, or get help from the International Housing Service, in place since 2020, to find a flat in the private market.

Programmes
Unipd offers 114 bachelor's-level degree courses and 15 single-cycle master's degree courses across all subject areas, plus 4 inter-university courses. Some bachelor's programmes are taught in English (international bachelor's degrees). A Foundation Year is available for applicants whose schooling is shorter than 12 years.
Graduate programmes

Admission
Applicants with a foreign qualification check the programme's requirements, upload their documents, pay an application fee and submit the application online (for English-taught programmes, except Medicine and Surgery, through apply.unipd.it). For the 2027-28 academic year, the first application window for most programmes runs from 15 September to 15 November 2026; Italian-taught programmes have their own dates.
- Bachelor's and single-cycle degrees: at least 12 years of schooling
- Where the home country requires a university entrance exam (for example Selectividad in Spain), a certificate showing it was passed
- Master's degrees: a bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign qualification meeting the programme's curricular requirements
Direct enrolment in the second semester is not possible.
Housing
- ESU residences (regional agency for the right to university study), assigned through a yearly competition; prices depend on merit, family income, services and the residence
- Private colleges and residences, some with places reserved for international students
- Private rental market, with help from the International Housing Office (search, English translation of contracts, paperwork)
- Temporary places in the ESU Copernico residence in August and September for international students arriving early
- Intergenerational cohabitation with residents over 65
