The Università per Stranieri di Siena (Unistrasi) is a university in Siena, Tuscany, located at Piazza Carlo Rosselli 27/28. Its degree courses focus on languages, cultural mediation, translation, language teaching and intercultural communication, and it is adding new bachelor's and master's courses in cultural heritage, archaeology and art history.

The university issues the CILS certificate of Italian as a foreign language and the DITALS certificate in teaching Italian to foreigners. The CLUSS centre runs general, short and online Italian courses, courses for teachers of Italian, a course for teenagers and CILS exam preparation. Non-EU students starting a bachelor's degree must certify Italian at level B2 (B1 for students from East Asian countries); those without a certificate take the CILSSU test. The website has sections for foreign students and for study abroad, and the university takes part in Erasmus programmes. Enrolment for the 2026/2027 academic year is open until 31 October 2026.

Non-EU applicants to bachelor's degrees must first certify their level of Italian (see language requirements). All bachelor's entrants then take the Entrance Knowledge Assessment Test, which is compulsory but non-selective and does not prevent enrolment; students who do not pass it follow the OFA remedial programme, to be completed by March of the first year. Enrolment for the 2026/2027 academic year is open until 31 October 2026.
Non-EU students enrolling in the first year of a bachelor's degree must hold a certificate of Italian at level B2, or B1 if they come from an East Asian country. This does not apply to holders of an upper secondary school diploma in an EU language.
