University in Columbia, MO, The United States

The University of Missouri (Mizzou) is Missouri's flagship, land-grant public university, located in Columbia, Missouri (United States). Established in 1839, it was the first public university west of the Mississippi River, and it is home to the world's first journalism school. It is a Carnegie-designated R1 research university and one of 38 public universities in the Association of American Universities. Its sports teams, the Mizzou Tigers, compete in the SEC.

Teaching follows the "Missouri Method", which combines classes with research, internships and other hands-on experience.

International students join a community of students and scholars from more than 100 countries. There are no fixed undergraduate application deadlines, although the university recommends applying 6-12 months ahead, and international applicants are automatically considered for international scholarships.
