University of the Cumberlands is a private university in Williamsburg, Kentucky, in the United States, about two hours from Lexington and an hour and a half from Knoxville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1888 by Baptist ministers as the Williamsburg Institute, took its current name in 2005 and is grounded in Christian principles. It has two campuses in Kentucky and a large online offer, with around 20,000 students in total and a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. The university has regional accreditation.

Cumberlands offers undergraduate degrees in more than 40 majors, pre-professional tracks, and graduate and doctoral programmes. International students from more than 40 countries study in its undergraduate and selected graduate programmes, with support for visa status, orientation and an international student association. Applicants need a TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score and an evaluation of foreign transcripts.

Under the One Price Promise, tuition, fees, housing, dining and books are covered by a single price. Every student has a success coordinator, and international students can request an airport pick-up on arrival.
