Victoria University (VU) is an Australian university based in Melbourne, which for more than 100 years has offered education to students in the city's western suburbs and beyond. It is one of only six universities in Australia that teach both TAFE (vocational) and higher education courses, so students can progress from certificates and diplomas to bachelor's, master's and research degrees. Its Melbourne campuses are City Campus, Footscray Nicholson, Footscray Park, St Albans, Sunshine and Werribee, and VU also teaches in Sydney, in Brisbane and through partner institutions in Asia. VU states that it is ranked in the top 3% of universities worldwide by Times Higher Education.

Teaching follows the VU Block Model: students take one subject at a time in small, workshop-style classes of three hours, three times a week, with five intakes a year. Course areas include business, IT and cyber security, education, engineering and science, health and nursing, hospitality and tourism, law, sport, and English and preparation programmes. According to the university, it has more than 14,000 international students, including 7,400 studying with 11 overseas partner universities.

International applicants need to meet academic and English requirements (IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic or Cambridge Advanced). VU offers student accommodation in fully furnished apartments.
