William Penn University is a private university in the small town of Oskaloosa, Iowa, in the United States. It was founded in 1873 by Quaker settlers and is named after the Quaker William Penn; its mission centres on leadership, technology and the Quaker principles of simplicity, peace-making, integrity, community and equality. Students can study on the Oskaloosa campus or online.
The university offers more than 20 majors through seven academic divisions, including:
- Applied Technology
- Business Administration
- Education
- Humanities
- Kinesiology and Life Sciences
- Nursing
- Social and Behavioral Sciences
At graduate level it offers a Master of Sport Management and a Master of Organizational Leadership. The university states a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. International applicants need an English test score if English is not their native language (TOEFL or Duolingo), and transcripts from schools outside the US must be evaluated by InCred. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. Full-time students generally live on campus, in residence halls with single, double, townhouse and apartment-style rooms.
