Bircham University’s Sport Management program provides an overview of the sport management field by offering both fundamental principles and current practical matters. The program decribes the relevance of cultural, historical, political, sociological, psychological and legal concepts to the management of sports; the required professional skills and attitudes of sport managers; and the means in which the globalisation of sports continues to impact sport management professions. It also examines the importance of sports as an international social institution.
