Ecole Interculturelle de Francais EIFE 2F

The École Interculturelle de Français is a French language school for foreigners in Lyon, France, located at 3 grande rue des Feuillants. Enrolment is open for the 2026-27 academic year.

Students take an entry test and are placed in one of four levels: beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced. A test at the end of each month decides who moves up a level, and beginners' courses start in September, October, February and June. Classes normally have 12 to 13 students, with a maximum of 17. On Wednesdays, lessons take the form of cultural workshops on themes such as Lyon, cinema, theatre, French history and law. Course options include:

• Standard course, about 15 hours per week
• Intensive course, 20 hours per week
• Au pair course, 12 hours per week, and a formula for working holiday (PVT) visa holders
• Evening courses
• DELF and DALF exam preparation

Courses can be booked by the month, by semester (4 or 8 months) or for a full year (12 months), and students receive a certificate for the level reached. After paying a deposit, students receive a pre-registration certificate that they can use to apply for a visa; those staying more than three months must apply for a residence permit. Students also have access to a computer room.
